We appreciate and welcome all CONSTRUCTIVE feedback in our drive to deliever a better quality of service and product. support@motorcycletiedownpro.com Did you see us on the ABC's New Inventors Click Here Dear gary, Just a quick mail to let you know that the tie down pro we bought are fantastic and work even better than you claim, we have just trailered our bikes 2000km over rough winding roads and they did not move an inch. Its great to buy a product that really works, thanks also for the quick shipping of my order.
Thanks again regards A.L, G.W we will be telling all our friends and fellow riders how good your product is. March 2010 Hey mate, just wanted to say thanks. My wife and I have just completed a trip around Australia. We covered some 15000km. The tyredown didn't miss a beat. Regards Tom W (Cairns, QLD) 2009
Hi Gary,
Mate I would never have belived it if it didn't happen to me. I mistakenly gave the wheel of the ute to my girlfriend who will remain nameless. We have a Toyota Hilux and were towing 3 trail bikes. Anyway, she took a corner a little to fast and the combined wet road created a jack knife situation. I jumped out the ute as the trailer was on its side. All I could think was that my KTM had hit the tarmac. I had tied down the the KTM with the trail Tyredown (I wasn't going to) and left the CR250 and CR500 with the regular tiedowns. What I found was a relief. The KTM was still intact hanging well stuck to the trailer as you have on those pictures on your website. The other 2 Hondas had some how gotten loose and were on the road. Thanks again it did what you said it would could you send me another 2, seriously. Jim B Riverwood NSW 2008 Tyredowns Tyre downG’day Gary, Done near 4,000km with the Tyre Down on the Buell & works great. If anyone else wants to use one on their Buell Lightning Ss or S model then all they need to do is take the rear hugger off & I would advise that they put the mounting points to the full 900mm apart for clearance. On the Buell Firebolt it may fit with the hugger still in place but will definitely work without the hugger. Photo’s attached for any future sales enquires that you may get. Thank you very much,Rod 23-10-2008
To Whom It May Concern After my return to motorcycling after a layoff of 20 years, I was looking at trailering my bike (Suzuki V-Strom) to the areas of this great biking country that I live in - South Africa, to the areas that I wanted to explore. The problem I had was the compression of the front forks caused by all the tie down products that I had seen. I then found an ad in Bike SA for the TyreDown and, after visiting your website and watching the video clips, invested in one. WHAT A PLEASURE TO USE - no stress and so easy and quick. With a stap to hold the front wheel in place and the TyreDown, the bike is really secure on the trailer. CONGRATULATIONS on a FANTASTIC product. At our Ulysses SA National Rally held in Colesburg in May, this product received plenty of interest. I had taken the car and trailer along as, from Colesberg, we took a further weeks leave and travelled to our hometown (Port Elizabeth) to spend it with family. I have enclosed a couple of pics showing the bike on the trailer - Feel free to use them. > > Kind Regards, Dave Pretoria, South Africa
Thanks Garry, it arrived this morning all ok.
It works great and has plenty of clearance on a Suzi GSX1300R Hayabusa with stock exhaust Cheers Mate (you're a bloody legend) Darryl 20/11/06
Hi Gary, thats great. Can you send me a paypal thingy and I will order & pay for 1 TyreDown ROAD immediately.
I am going to use it to tie down a 1999 Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa. I have a mate using one of theese for his Busa without any problems but he has a Hi Mount exhaust and mine is normal so if you know of any issues or if your not sure and want some feedback after I have used it just you let me know. -- Kind Regards Darryl 14/11/06
Gary, I'm back from my 3,000 mile roundtrip between Texas and southwest
Colorado. The Tyre Down is everything it was advertised to be. I can't imagine using anything else to transport my bike. It really did take less than one minute to put my bike on the trailer and strap it down. Though I also opted to use a front wheel chock with an integrated wheel strap I could have unquestionably used only the Tyre Down and been just fine. In fact, this was proved when my front wheel chock came loose from its mount (it has a quick release feature) sometime during my descent on a very steep, winding 12,000 foot mountain pass and the Tyre Down held the bike perfectly. This is one of the best products ever! There's nothing more satisfying than getting your money's worth with a product that does exactly what it is supposed to do. The only issue I encountered was our 100+ degree heat in Texas made the grip tape adhesive loose and it moved around on the contact point but it had no effect on the stability of the bike - the Tyre Down held firm. I have attached four pictures of the bike on the trailer, feel free to use them. Regards, Michael Texas Date: Sat, 24 Jun 2006
Gary,
I do appreciate your checking on this and the way you do business. I will definately be recommending you to my fellow riders. To answer your question, this is a fair representation of my bike. I appreciate your attention to detail and do hope the Tyre Down works because even though I was paying more than I would have liked, I like the design and the customer service is phenomenal! Thanks again and I look forward to hearing the outcome. Lets hope it is a favorable one... D. M Wed, 5 Apr 2006 Dear Tyre Down: Sounds good to me--thank you very much for your concern. Also, I would like to tell you how much your pictures of the bike trailer at an extreme slant influenced me. As written in an earlier letter, I travel a lot on BC Ferries to remote locations . What the contents of trailers are subjected to in bad weather far exceed anything found on the road--but never that extreme. There are cheaper 'total systems' (when the freight is added) that might, stress the might, be as secure; but I doubt there is one that will stress the front forks less and leave less mess via holes and protruding brackets. You can be sure my bike riding friends will hear. Actually, if you have any flyers--send a few. Susan 15/3/06 Hi Gary, I am interested in the road version for a yamaha YZF-R6. thank you for all your efforts. It's not often that you find customer service like this. regards, Mike28/3/06 Hi Gary Thanks for that! Very honest of you. We will take some pics for you when we have the tyredowns on the bikes and I know these will generate alot of interest for you, when we hit the state trails in MI this summer. Awesome idea! 1. I saw an advertisement for your Tyre Down product in Cycle Torque about 12 months ago and about the same time read a product review somewhere else in the motorcycle press. I was impressed with the concept and keen to give it a try for transporting my dirt bike. I didn't get 'round to purchasing the Tyre Down until I saw your stand at the Sydney Motorcycle Show in November. And it's taken me another two months to get around to fixing mounting points on my trailer! But yesterday everything was at last ready for me to give it at try. The first thing I noticed was that the bike is much easier to secure on my own compared to using conventional tie downs. I didn't go far, just around the local suburb, but my first impression of the Tyre Down is that it is brilliant. I was really impressed with it - it was simple to use and held the bike securely without loading up the suspension. Congratulations on a superb product. I wish you every success with it and I will certainly be recommending it to everyone I know with a dirt bike. Regards .............Steve Dalziel January 16th 2006 2. "Mate, it worked f**ken sweet!!!" - Daniel Gordon 3. Miles Davis Cycle Torque Newspaper Since installing the tie down points in our VW longwheelbase Transporter late last year I have not used a pair of tie downs. I am always picking up and dropping off bikes, from Ducatis to trail bikes and I find the Tyre Down system to be excellent. The ratchet units take a little while to get use to, but once that is figured out the system is quick and convenient to use. I load the bikes to the back of the van (both pointing forward), this leaves me the side door to load riding gear etc. Last week I had a BMW GS1200 and our CBR600RR in at the same time without a problem. Another great Aussie product! Well done. 4. Greg Corone & Jo Briarwood Brisbane Queensland 19 October 2005 We recently bought two of the road bike tyredowns from you at the Moto GP Expo tent and just wanted to let you know that they are as you guys stated. Absolutely fabulous! We had a wobbly and very hairy, scary trip down from Brisbane to the Island with the bikes strapped to the trailer, twice having to stop and re-strap one of the bikes back into place. However on the way back with your tyredowns in place, the bikes didn't budge an inch and were so stable it was impressive, (even with the speed and incredibly bouncy drive back on the old highway). We even had a fellow jump out of his van at a red light in Melbourne and run back to ask us where we got the tyre downs from (he had obviously been following and watching us for a while), so we gave him one of your brochures. Everyone we have shown back here in Qld is also suitably impressed and interested in both the road bike ones and the dirt bike ones . ..Excellent job guys! Wish we had had them for the trip down too!.................................. |
